Progress report 11 June 07: Story-programming has begun

I'm pretty much finished with being lazy and doing some icons, and started on the story. The base of the game has been finished a long time ago, with the battlesystem, base quest system, dying, training, all the icons, etc...

But now, I really started on the story. Which means that, I am actually starting the *real* work... It's going pretty well up untill now, I still have the plans from a year ago -- the first mission is almost done, which is the start of the story... It's where you learn to control KI, and get used to the basics of the game. Although, bad part is, my pc is going to be taken away tomorrow(was supposed to happen last week, but they didn't show up) for a fix... I'll be getting it back in a week or so.

Another obstacle in the road to its release, I'm going on vacation on the 5th July for about a month and a week. Before that, I'm going to try to do as much as possible and try to have a small pre-alpha test. That'd just be would to test out the basic system and to see if it is stable enough. I'm not giving a deadline, though, but say something around the final days of June, or the first few of July...

My pc should be coming back tomorrow, if not, then Wednesday... That's where I'll try to get it baked enough for a small pre-alpha test... Won't be easy though. :S

Argh... they called yesterday, the parts haven't arrived yet... So it can't be fixed... I'm at another pc now, and if this takes longer than 3 days, I'll just go through the trouble to get my external hard disk(well, I could've gotten it before, but I was just too lazy...), and use this (slower) pc to work on it, cause I'm having a lack of time already as it is...

My pc got delivered earlier today, haven't gotten a chance to work on the game today, and probably won't get it today either... But will start tomorrow-morning... In the time I didn't have my pc I started a small project on this one to kill some time, but don't worry... this project is still my top priority.

Expect a new progress report from me soon.. I gotta work real hard and fast to make it in time for the pre-alpha test... It's very uncertairn whether I'll make it in time before my vacation. But I'll do my best to get it done before the end of next week. More information with the next progress report which is... somewhere soon. >_>
