Monster-encounters. Considering we now have turn-based-combat instead of the real-time combat, I've put the fact that monsters just wander around in the map on the 'to-ask' list.
What I've been thinking about, is to take them off the map. And let monsters appear randomly. As in, you wander in non-safe zone(already added, by the way) and then on random times you get teleported to the battlefield and fight a monster.
Or we could keep it on the good ol' method, and let monsters wander around. And whenever you bump into each other, it's battle time.
I can't really decide. Suggestions?

Hmm.. this is really a part of the game where you can put your heart and soul into O-matic. In my oppinion, a Random Encounter system wouldn't be bad, but it seams like fighting is enevitable. (Or however you spell it) Using a wandering system like you have, would make the game feel like its a choice to fight or to flight. That would be more realistic to me. Using it that way would also make players use evoiding skills to try to get away from monsters that they can't beat. In my oppinion, they are both solid ways of fighting so its all in your decision. The Wandering system would be better in my oppinion if you wanted to know.... |

A bit(well, a lot more than just a bit) late, but I wanted to say that I made it an random encounter anyway. I gave it a good thought, and despite Xdark's attempt, it became the random encounters.
My main reason is that I want to make this game a single-player game, which you can play online with other players. If I just let the monsters wander around, that'd mean A) that they'll take up alot of space in caves and such abd most importantly B) it's not really suitable for when more players are online, it'd mean that players would have to "share" the monsters.
